Why This Recipe Works

I created this Cookie Monster Fudge one lazy weekend when I was craving something sweet but didnโ€™t want to bake. I rummaged through my pantry, saw some cookies, candy melts, and sweetened condensed milk, and thought, โ€œWhy not?โ€ It was an instant win! The fudge turned out creamy, crunchy, and a total hit with everyone who tried it.

What makes this recipe so awesome is how simple it is. You just toss everything into the slow cooker, stir a few times, and boomโ€”dessert is ready! The mix of smooth fudge and chunky cookies gives it a fun texture and those sugar eyes. They bring the whole thing to life.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Blue Candy Melts: These vibrant candy melts are the heart of this fudge, creating that signature Cookie Monster blue color. You can find them in baking aisles, or if you prefer, substitute them with white chocolate and blue food coloring for a homemade touch.
  • White Chocolate: Adds a creamy richness and balances out the sweetness of the fudge. Itโ€™s a great way to keep the texture smooth and decadent.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk: This magical ingredient brings everything together, making the fudge silky and perfectly sweet. It also helps with the setting of the fudge, giving it that soft, melt-in-your-mouth consistency.
  • Mini Oreos: These are perfect for that Cookie Monster crunch! Crush them up and mix them into the fudge for extra texture. Donโ€™t forget to save a few for sprinkling on top!
  • Choc Chip Cookies: Adding broken pieces of chocolate chip cookies brings in more cookie goodness. You can use store-bought or homemade, and save some chunks for the top for a visually appealing finish.
  • Sugar Eyes: The eyes are what make this fun! Place them on top for a cute Cookie Monster look. If you donโ€™t have sugar eyes, you can always use small white chocolate chips with a dot of black icing as an alternative.
  • Blue Food Coloring: This helps deepen the blue color of the fudge to give it that unmistakable Cookie Monster vibe. You only need a few drops!

Step-by-Step Directions

Step One: Begin by adding the blue candy melts, white chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, and a few drops of blue food coloring into your slow cooker. Keep the lid off and set it on low heat.

Step Two: Stir the mixture every 10-15 minutes to ensure even melting and prevent the white chocolate from overcooking. Keep an eye on the texture to avoid burning.

Step Three: After about 40 minutes, once the fudge starts to thicken, mix in your broken pieces of Oreos and chocolate chip cookies. Let it cook for an additional 5 minutes to blend the flavors.

Step Four: Transfer the fudge mixture into a lined 28×19 cm tray. Smooth it out with a spatula, then sprinkle more crushed cookies on top and place the sugar eyes in the desired spots.

Step Five: Let the fudge set in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours until firm. Slice into pieces and enjoy your Cookie Monster-inspired treat!

How to serve

  • I love serving this at family gatherings or kidsโ€™ partiesโ€”it always disappears fast! The sugar eyes on top make it extra cute and playful, which adds a nice touch.
  • For an extra treat, try serving the fudge with a side of ice cream or pair it with a glass of cold milk. Trust me, nothing beats the classic combo of cookies and milk! Itโ€™s also perfect for an afternoon snack or a little after-dinner indulgence.
  • When I want to make it extra special, I stack the fudge pieces or drizzle some melted chocolate on top. Itโ€™s simple but makes the whole experience feel a bit fancier!

Recipe FAQs and Variations

Can I use a different color for the fudge?

Absolutely! If blue isn’t your thing, you can swap out the blue candy melts for any other color that fits your theme. Pink, green, or even rainbow-colored candy melts can make your fudge unique and fun!

Whatโ€™s the best way to store Cookie Monster Fudge?

Store your fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. If you want it to last longer, you can freeze it for up to two months. Just thaw it in the fridge before serving.

Can I add other mix-ins?

Yes! Feel free to get creative with the mix-ins. You can add Mu0026amp;Ms, peanut butter chips, or even pretzel pieces for a sweet and salty twist. Just make sure to keep the balance so the fudge doesn’t get too overloaded.

  • 1 cup chocolate chip cookies, broken into pieces (reserve some for topping)
